Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have paid tributes to Havildar Lalak Jan on his 26th martyrdom anniversary.
In a statement, the President said Lalak Jan’s sacrifice is a shining example of courage and determination for future generations.
He said Lalak Jan’s sacrifice will always be remembered in golden words in the history of Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Lalak Jan Shaheed foiled the enemy’s nefarious designs without caring for his own life and made the ultimate sacrifice for the motherland. He said the enemy’s attacks could not diminish the courage of Lalak Jan Shaheed.
Shehbaz Sharif said the nation can never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs.
He said the martyrs of armed forces and their families are a source of pride for us. He said the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the Armed Forces in their unwavering commitment to protect the homeland.
In his message, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of Naval Staff, Chief of Air Staff and the Armed Forces of Pakistan have paid heartfelt tribute to Havildar Lalak Jan Shaheed honoring his unparalleled courage, unwavering dedication, and supreme sacrifice.
