Islamabad: Sweden has announced the resumption of visa services in Pakistan. According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, political consultations regarding visa services were held between Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Swedish authorities in Stockholm.
The Pakistani delegation was led by the Additional Foreign Secretary for Europe, while the Swedish side was headed by the Director General for Global Affairs.
The spokesperson stated that this decision will facilitate Pakistanis intending to travel to Sweden for short-term visits. From July 7, Pakistani citizens will be able to apply for visas to visit Sweden for up to 90 days.
The spokesperson added that Pakistan welcomes this move, noting that it reflects the strong relationship between Pakistan and Sweden.
