Peshawar: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has issued notices to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and other concerned authorities on a petition challenging the inclusion of Senator Azam Swati’s name in the passport control list.
The court sought replies from the respondents, directing them to submit their comments on the legality of placing Swati’s name on the list, which restricts his foreign travel. The petition, filed by Swati, contends that the move violates his fundamental rights.

Justice Sahibzada Asad Ullah and Justice Khurshid Iqbal took up the petition for hearing Monday.
The counsel for petitioner said Azam Swati was off loaded at Islamabad airport on Sunday. Azam Swati is appearing in the courts in all the cases registered against him. Name of Azam Swati has been put in Passport Control List. The petitioner is leaving behind all his assets.
The counsel for petitioner said Senate election in KP will be held on July 21 and Azam Swati is candidate. Azam Swati will return before Senate election. Court has issued notice to NAB, FIA and other respondents.
