ISLAMABAD (MNN); Leaders of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) have lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their efforts in promoting peace
A meeting was held between MQM central leader Zahid Malik and APML Chief Organizer Dr Muhammad Amjad, along with Central Joint Secretary Atif Mahmood Mughal.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed the overall political situation in the country and agreed to make joint efforts for the establishment of a Potohar province. They emphasized that residents of the Potohar region have long been deprived of their legitimate rights.
Both sides stressed the need to bridge the gap between rural and urban areas in terms of development, education, healthcare, and employment opportunities.
Dr. Muhammad Amjad thanked Zahid Malik for his visit and conveyed best wishes for the MQM leadership, while Zahid Malik appreciated Dr. Amjad’s sincere efforts for the country and its people.
