Sports Desk; Al-Ahli clinched the Saudi Super Cup in Hong Kong on Saturday after defeating Al-Nassr 5–3 on penalties, following a gripping 2–2 draw in regulation time. The final also marked a personal milestone for Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored his 100th goal for Al-Nassr.
The 40-year-old Portuguese forward put Al-Nassr ahead in the 40th minute, converting from the spot after Ali Majrashi was penalised for handball. But Al-Ahli, the reigning Asian Champions League winners, drew level in first-half stoppage time when Franck Kessie calmly slotted past goalkeeper Bento, set up by new signing Enzo Millot.

The second half produced end-to-end action. Ronaldo forced Edouard Mendy into a fine save with a powerful effort, while Firas Al-Buraikan came close when his shot rattled the post. Al-Nassr regained the lead in the 82nd minute through Marcelo Brozovic, who capitalised on a defensive error to fire home from inside the box.
Al-Ahli struck back just before full time, with Roger Ibanez heading in from a Riyad Mahrez corner after Bento misjudged the delivery.
In the ensuing shootout, Al-Ahli converted all five of their penalties, while Al-Nassr faltered with one miss despite Ronaldo successfully converting his attempt. The Jeddah-based side secured their second Saudi Super Cup crown, denying Al-Nassr the chance to add to their silverware despite Ronaldo’s landmark strike.
