KARACHI: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has acknowledged that Pakistanis are currently facing difficulties in obtaining visas for the UAE, with similar issues also emerging in Kuwait and Oman. Speaking at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday, he assured that the government is actively working to address these challenges and would soon find a solution to facilitate travel and business opportunities for Pakistani citizens.
Our issues of visas in Kuwait and Oman will also be resolved, he added.
Work on passport ranking is underway. Soon Pakistan Passport ranking will make a jump soon. We will be proud of it.
He underlined if Karachi is healthy then Pakistan is healthy. We have controlled smuggling to considerable extent in two years. There is 1002 kilometer long coastline and we have only 6 coast guard boats. Now we have added two more boats. We will further fortify coast guards.
Talks are underway with NADRA on criminal record of citizens in their national identity cards .
Crimes have declined considerably due to safe city project. Karachi safe city project will also lead to decline in crimes ratio. He underscored strike is every citizen right if it is observed peacefully.
Our objective is betterment in economy which is very vital at present. Smuggling has not been eliminated fully but improvement has come therein.
He held police job is arresting. Awarding punishment is job of courts. If we are given the powers of giving punishment we will give punishment too. Uplift of economy is our most significant target.
