In a post shared on his X account, Naqvi said the league was “about to get bigger and better”, adding that the bidding process for two additional teams had officially begun.

He also posted an invitation notice issued by the PCB, outlining the requirements for parties interested in acquiring the new franchises. According to the guidelines, bidders must submit their technical proposals by December 15.

The document stated that all relevant bid details can be obtained from the PCB, while technical proposals will be opened the same day. Only those meeting the technical criteria will advance to the next stage.

The announcement comes a day after the PCB completed the independent valuation of PSL franchises and other commercial assets, following which renewal offers were sent to all compliant teams for the upcoming 10-year cycle. Franchise owners have been asked to respond within the given timeframe.

To maintain transparency, the board also arranged both joint and individual sessions between PSL franchises and the independent valuation firm, EY MENA, allowing teams to examine the valuation methodology and clarify any concerns.

The PCB also received valuation reports for the two upcoming franchises. Interested parties will be able to choose from six shortlisted cities: Hyderabad, Sialkot, Muzaffarabad, Faisalabad, Gilgit and Rawalpindi.

The board reiterated that it remains committed to a transparent and fair process and aims to further strengthen its partnership with PSL stakeholders.
