RAWALPINDI (Web-Desk); Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza participated in the 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF-2025) in Istanbul, Turkiye, a premier global exhibition showcasing the latest innovations and technologies in the defence sector.
During the event, General Mirza held key meetings with senior defence officials including Turkiye’s Minister of National Defence General (Retd) Yasar Guler, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defence Colonel General Hasanov Zakir Asgar Oglu, Deputy Minister Mr. Gurbanov Agil Salim Oglu, and Turkish Chief of General Staff General Metin Gurak.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral military ties and enhancing collaboration in defence and security, with emphasis on aligning future cooperation with evolving geo-strategic dynamics and technological progress.
The dignitaries lauded the Pakistan Armed Forces for their professionalism, operational capabilities, and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, acknowledging their vital role in promoting peace and stability at both regional and global levels.
