Tremors from an earthquake jolted Lahore and several cities across Punjab on Tuesday, triggering panic among residents. Shocks were felt in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Kasur, Gujranwala, Muridke, and surrounding areas.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) Islamabad, the earthquake measured 4.4 on the Richter scale. Its epicenter was located 25 kilometers southwest of Lahore, at coordinates 31.33°N and 74.23°E, with a depth of 14 kilometers.

Frightened people rushed out of their homes and offices, many reciting the Kalima Tayyaba. Rescue sources confirmed that no reports of loss of life or property had been received so far. Meanwhile, the Director General of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) stated that local administrations across Punjab were inspecting buildings. Machinery and staff have been placed on high alert to handle any possible aftershocks.
