BAJAUR; The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home Department has announced strict movement restrictions in several areas of Bajaur district, ranging from 12 hours to 72 hours, as part of an ongoing counterterrorism operation against the Fitna al-Khawarij militant network.
According to official notifications, Section 144 will be enforced on 11 August 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM along the following roads:
- Khar–Munda Road
- Khar–Nawagai Road
- Khar–Pusht Salarzai Road
- Khar–Sadiqabad–Inayat Killi Road
In addition, a complete three-day curfew will be imposed in parts of Mamund Tehsil — from 11:00 AM on 11 August to 11:00 AM on 14 August covering the localities of Laghari, Gowati, Ghanam Shah, Bad Siah, Kamar, Amanta, Zagai, Gat, Ghundai, Garigal, Niyag Killi, Raigai, Dag, Damadola, Sultan Beg, Chotra, Sheen Kot, Gang, Jewar, Inaam Khoro, Chengai, Anga, Safri, Bar Gatkai, Kharki, Shakro, and Bakro.
During this period, all road movement and leaving homes will be strictly prohibited. Residents have been instructed to complete essential tasks by 10:30 AM and remain indoors for the duration of enforcement.
Authorities have warned that any violations will hold individuals personally accountable for potential consequences.
The Bajaur district administration confirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces will soon launch a large-scale operation to completely clear the region of terrorist elements. Citizens have been urged to voluntarily evacuate high-risk areas to prevent collateral damage, with designated government facilities particularly schools prepared to house evacuees.
