ISLAMABAD (Web-Desk); Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday revealed the complete schedule, venues, and match timings for the upcoming ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025, set to be held from September 9 to 28 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In a post on his official X account, Naqvi confirmed that the eight-nation tournament will take place across two premier venues — Dubai International Cricket Stadium and Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi will host eight matches, including one crucial Super Four encounter on September 23. Meanwhile, the bulk of the matches, including the highly anticipated Pakistan vs India clash on September 14 and the final on September 28, will be staged in Dubai.
All matches are scheduled to begin at 6 PM Gulf Standard Time, except for the September 15 fixture between hosts UAE and Oman, which will start earlier.
This year’s tournament will follow the T20 format, serving as a key preparatory event ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
The eight competing teams are split into two groups. Group A comprises Pakistan, India, UAE, and Oman. Group B features Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong.
The tournament will kick off on September 9 with Afghanistan taking on Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi. Pakistan’s campaign begins on September 12 against Oman, followed by their clash with India on September 14 and their final group match against UAE on September 17.
The top two teams from each group will move on to the Super Four stage, where the possibility of a second Pakistan-India face-off looms on September 21. The final will be contested between the top two Super Four teams on September 28 in Dubai.
