ISLAMABAD (Web-Desk); TikTok has removed more than 24.95 million videos from Pakistan during the first quarter of 2025 for violating its Community Guidelines, according to the platform’s latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report. This action reflects TikTok’s heightened commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful digital environment in one of its major user markets.

The report highlights that 99.4% of the removed videos from Pakistan were taken down proactively, with 95.8% removed within 24 hours of being uploaded—showing the platform’s swift moderation response.

On a global scale, TikTok removed over 211 million videos between January and March 2025, which accounts for approximately 0.9% of all content uploaded during the period. Of those, more than 184 million videos were detected and removed through automated systems, while 7.5 million videos were later reinstated following human review.

Globally, the breakdown of violations shows 45.5% of removed videos contained misinformation, 30.1% featured mature or sensitive content, 15.6% breached privacy or security rules, 13.8% involved altered or AI-generated media, and 11.5% violated rules around safety and civility.

TikTok emphasized that this quarterly enforcement report is part of its broader transparency initiative. The company aims to provide users with greater insight into how content moderation is managed. Users can view the complete Q1 2025 report and gain access to TikTok’s content policies and safety tools through its Transparency Centre, available in both Urdu and English.
