Aiwan-e-Sadr Talks: Stability First

ISLAMABAD; In a high-level meeting at Aiwan-e-Sadr, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held detailed discussions on Pakistan’s key national challenges, focusing on the political landscape, economic conditions, and security concerns. The meeting was also attended by senior federal ministers and advisers, underscoring a unified approach to addressing the country’s pressing issues.

According to a statement from the President’s Press Wing, the Prime Minister was accompanied by Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, Federal Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Adviser on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan.

The leadership reviewed the current law and order situation, with special emphasis on counter-terrorism measures to safeguard national security. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also updated President Zardari on various initiatives the government is undertaking to strengthen the economy and drive sustainable growth.

Both the President and the Prime Minister reaffirmed their shared commitment to steering the country towards political and economic stability. They agreed to maintain close coordination to ensure Pakistan’s continued progress and prosperity, stressing the importance of unity among state institutions in overcoming challenges.

The meeting highlighted the resolve of the country’s top leadership to work collectively for Pakistan’s development, laying the groundwork for policies aimed at improving governance, ensuring security, and fostering economic resilience.
