MANAMA, BAHRAIN; Pakistan and Bahrain have agreed to strengthen cooperation by developing a joint strategy to tackle terrorism, human trafficking, and drug smuggling.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Manama on a one-day visit, where he was warmly received by Bahrain’s Interior Minister, General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, at Bahrain International Airport. The two leaders later held an important meeting at Manama Fort.
During their detailed discussions, they exchanged views on regional and global security challenges, as well as issues of mutual interest. Both sides underscored the need for closer collaboration in counter-terrorism operations, efforts to combat human trafficking, and anti-narcotics initiatives.
They also explored ways to make the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Security Committee more effective to better address shared security concerns.
The Bahraini Interior Minister praised the existing cooperation and coordination between the two countries, particularly in the security domain. He emphasized Bahrain’s high regard for its security partnership with Pakistan, expressing hope for even stronger ties in the future.
