KURRAM; At least seven people lost their lives when a vehicle plunged into a deep ravine in the Gandao area of Kurram district.
The tragic accident occurred as the vehicle, traveling from Gandal to Sadda, veered off the road while taking a turn and fell into the gorge.
Rescue teams rushed to the site upon receiving information and recovered all occupants from the wreckage.
Sadly, seven were found dead on the spot, while two others sustained injuries. The deceased and injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for necessary procedures and medical care.
According to rescue sources, prompt efforts were made to secure the victims from the accident site. Meanwhile, police confirmed that an investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the incident.
The mishap has cast a pall of gloom over the local community, mourning the sudden loss of precious lives.
