The Lahore High Court Bar and the Lahore Bar have filed separate intra-court appeals challenging the Supreme Court’s verdict in the judges’ seniority case.
In their petitions, both bar associations have urged the court to set aside the decision of the Supreme Court’s five-member bench.
They have also requested the court to suspend the implementation of the bench’s ruling, along with any actions taken under it, until the appeals are decided. Bar Associations Move to Nullify Supreme Court’s Seniority Ruling.

The court has been requested to nullify the decision of 5-member bench of SC.
The court has also been requested to suspend the 5-member bench decision and the steps taken as a result of this decision till the decision of appeal pleas.
The petition said the court has given decision without reviewing the matters fully in line with the constitution. Therefore this decision be reviewed.
It has been further said in the appeal pleas that we have not been heard fully and the decision has been given in haste. We be allowed to present all our representations. The implementation on decision be stopped till the decision of appeal pleas.
