News Desk (MNN); Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it carried out coordinated missile and drone strikes on four United States airbases at dawn, targeting critical military infrastructure across the facilities.
In a statement, the IRGC claimed its naval forces launched simultaneous strikes using several assault battalions. The operation reportedly targeted command centres, air-traffic control towers, and air-defence systems at bases associated with US forces in the region.
“The IRGC Navy at dawn today, in several assault battalions, simultaneously struck four American terrorist airbases with precise and crushing blows,” the statement said. Both missile and drone units were involved, the IRGC added, aiming at multiple strategic sites tied to US military operations.
The group further claimed that satellite imagery released recently showed extensive damage to US military infrastructure, with more than 80 per cent of radar systems and other critical installations at the bases reportedly destroyed. These claims have not yet been independently verified, and US officials have not issued an immediate response.
Meanwhile, the US and Israel continue their operations against Iran, with missiles reportedly striking multiple sites across central Isfahan province. Dozens of casualties have been reported.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran never sought a ceasefire with the US and is prepared for a prolonged conflict. Iran has also reportedly targeted US bases in Iraq and Kuwait, claiming damage to radar systems, while Donald Trump stated that Iranian officials approached him for a potential deal, though terms were “not good enough yet.”
The ongoing regional conflict has escalated humanitarian consequences. Israeli strikes on Lebanon have resulted in at least 850 deaths and displaced over 831,000 people.
Iranian authorities have arrested over 500 individuals accused of providing sensitive information to enemies, including details on military targets and strike locations. Arrests were reported across northwestern and northeastern regions, with some accused of sharing information with Israel.
On a diplomatic front, Iran has engaged in discussions with regional and global counterparts. Masoud Pezeshkian discussed regional developments with Emmanuel Macron via phone, while Iran’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia emphasized that bilateral relations remain important despite the ongoing US-Israel conflict.
Tehran stated that relations with Arab Gulf states must undergo review in response to US-Israeli operations targeting Iran, stressing regional cooperation, reduced external interference, and international guarantees to achieve lasting stability and prosperity.
