ISLAMABAD: Speaker Punjab Assembly (PA) Malik Ahmad Khan has filed reference in Election Commission (EC) against 26 Members of Punjab Assembly (MPAs) from Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC).
According to EC sources speaker Punjab Assembly (PA) Malik Ahmad Khan has filed disqualification reference against 26 MPAs of SIC in EC secretariat Islamabad.
It is pertinent to mention here speaker PA had suspended these MPAs due to disorder and ruckus created by opposition members in Punjab Assembly June 27 session. He had announced to send disqualification reference against these MPAs in EC. He has sent the reference to EC for disqualification of the MPAs .
Speaker PA had announced on June 28 to send reference to EC for disqualification of 26 MPAs of opposition.
