According to sources, Mazari has formally filed a complaint against the Chief Justice before the IHC’s Harassment Inquiry Committee, chaired by Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz. The complaint, submitted through the court associate of Justice Imtiaz, accuses Chief Justice Dogar of making “sexual and threatening remarks” during court proceedings.

Mazari has requested that an inquiry be conducted under the Protection Against Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, and demanded that Justice Dogar be held accountable for misconduct. The complaint further urges that the matter, if substantiated, be referred to the Supreme Judicial Council for appropriate action.

Controversial Tweet Case Against Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha

Meanwhile, legal proceedings continue against Imaan Mazari and co-accused Hadi Ali Chattha in the controversial tweet case.

On Monday, the challan (charge sheet) was submitted before a district and sessions court in Islamabad. Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah will preside over the trial, while the accused have been summoned to appear. The court has ordered that copies of the challan be provided to the defense at the next hearing, scheduled for September 17.

The case was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), alleging that Mazari and Chattha shared a social media post deemed offensive and unlawful. Earlier, Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka had already confirmed their interim bail.

Advocate Imaan Mazari, a prominent lawyer and human rights activist, has been entangled in multiple legal disputes in recent months. She has faced sedition and cybercrime-related charges over her controversial statements and tweets, while also continuing her legal activism. Recently, tensions escalated inside the Islamabad High Court, bringing her into direct conflict with Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar.
