Lahore; A local court in Lahore has directed authorities to produce PTI founder Imran Khan before it in person. The Judicial Magistrate Cantt Sohail Rafiq issued the order while hearing a case related to an attack on Islamabad police outside Imran Khan’s residence in Model Town, Lahore.

In his written order, the magistrate instructed jail officials to ensure that Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated in Adiala Jail, be brought before the court by July 22.

The summons was addressed specifically to the Superintendent of Camp Jail. The magistrate also issued a formal rubkar (writ) to facilitate the process.

The court emphasized that the personal appearance of the PTI founder was necessary to proceed with the case. It is noteworthy that Islamabad police had previously registered a case against Imran Khan at the Race Course police station in connection with this incident.

This development marks another legal hurdle for the former prime minister, who is already facing multiple cases across the country. The court’s order underlines its intent to directly question or hear from Imran Khan as part of the judicial proceedings.
