ISLAMABAD; The Islamabad High Court (IHC) was informed on Friday that the Deputy Director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), who was investigating a case involving popular TikToker Ducky Bhai, has been missing for the past ten days.
During the hearing, DSP Legal told the court that the missing officer, identified as Usman, was leading the investigation into a case linked to the alleged promotion of online gambling applications. He further revealed that other members of the same investigation team have also gone missing.
Justice Azam Khan directed police to examine the missing officer’s WhatsApp data and allowed one additional week for his recovery, scheduling the next hearing for October 31.
The court was further informed that Usman’s wife, Rozina, who had filed a petition in the IHC seeking her husband’s recovery, has also gone missing. Advocate Rizwan Abbasi told the court that Rozina disappeared shortly after submitting her petition.
According to DSP Legal, the search is being supervised by the SSP Investigation. Preliminary findings show that the missing officer’s last known location was traced to Islamabad’s F-6 sector. CCTV footage has been examined, but no solid clues have emerged.
Meanwhile, Rozina’s last location was detected near Empress Road in Lahore before her mobile phone was switched off. When investigators visited her residence, neighbours said the house was locked and the couple’s children were also missing.
Advocate Abbasi informed the bench that Rozina had received a threatening phone call before her disappearance, warning her to withdraw her petition.
Justice Azam Khan noted that the woman might have gone to stay with relatives, though her lawyer questioned whether she left voluntarily.
The court adjourned the hearing until October 31, directing the police to intensify efforts and submit a comprehensive report regarding the recovery of the missing NCCIA officer, his wife, and their children.
