Web Desk; In a horrifying act of brutality, militants affiliated with the Fitna Al Khawarij group burned six people alive by setting their vehicle on fire in North Waziristan’s Mir Ali area, security sources reported on Wednesday.
According to sources, the tragic incident occurred after the victims allegedly refused to pay extortion money demanded by the militants. The attackers first opened fire on the car, then poured petrol over it, and set it ablaze. All six occupants were burned alive and died on the spot.
Local police and rescue teams arrived at the site soon after the incident, recovering the charred bodies and transferring them to a nearby hospital. Eyewitnesses described the scene as horrific, stating that the fire and smoke were visible from a distance, causing widespread panic among residents.
Locals strongly condemned the barbaric act, calling it a display of pure savagery by Fitna Al Khawarij militants. They urged the government and security forces to act decisively to eliminate such terrorist elements from the region.
Residents emphasized that such acts of violence could never be justified as “holy war,” labeling them as ruthless killings of innocent civilians. Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend those involved.
Locals have called upon federal and provincial authorities to ensure lasting peace in the region, protect citizens, and bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice.
