RAWALPINDI; Funeral prayers for twelve soldiers who were martyred while defending Pakistan against the unprovoked and cowardly aggression by the Afghan regime on the night of October 11 and 12 were held at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi, on Monday.
According to ISPR, the Namaz-e-Janaza was attended by Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, federal ministers, the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, senior civil and military officials, and members of the public.
Speaking on the occasion, the Defence Minister paid rich tribute to the martyred soldiers, stating that the people of Pakistan are indebted to their ultimate sacrifice. He said these brave men laid down their lives while defending the territorial integrity of the country against the treacherous aggression of the Taliban regime and Indian-sponsored terrorist proxies operating from inside Afghanistan.
He further emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully determined to thwart any aggression or conspiracy against the country, with the complete support of the nation.
