LAHORE; Aroob Jatoi, wife of popular YouTuber Saadur Rehman, better known as Ducky Bhai, appeared before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on Wednesday after obtaining pre-arrest bail in a case linked to the alleged promotion of online gambling applications on her husband’s social media platforms.

Additional Sessions Judge Zafaryab granted her bail until August 30 against surety bonds of Rs50,000 and barred authorities from arresting her during this period. Jatoi’s lawyer, Advocate Chaudhry Irfan Faiz Kalaar, told the court that while she was ready to cooperate with investigators, she feared being taken into custody.
The NCCIA, which already has Rehman in custody, included Jatoi in the probe and summoned her to its Lahore Gulberg-II office on August 20 to record her statement. Her counsel claimed she was first called on August 19, where she was allegedly detained for two hours and her phone confiscated. On Wednesday, officials reportedly questioned her for over an hour and a half.

Rehman, arrested at Lahore Airport on August 17, is accused of promoting betting apps such as Binomo, 1xBet, Bet365, and B9 Game. He was remanded to the agency’s custody until August 23. The case, registered by the state through the NCCIA, invokes multiple sections of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, including electronic forgery, fraud, spamming, and spoofing, as well as relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code relating to cheating and trade-related inducements.
The FIR alleges that several influencers, including Rehman, endorsed gambling platforms, causing ordinary citizens to lose money by investing in them. The investigation stems from an inquiry launched in June 2025 after “reliable sources” alerted authorities to such activities.
Jatoi, who married Rehman in 2022, previously made headlines in 2024 when the couple was briefly detained by police for displaying firearms on social media.
