Web Desk; Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp increase on Wednesday, following an upward trend in international markets.
According to the latest data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs3,000, reaching Rs359,963. Similarly, the price per tola jumped by Rs3,500, settling at Rs419,862.
In the global market, gold gained $35, with the precious metal now trading at $3,975 per ounce.
Meanwhile, the price of silver also recorded an increase, with the per tola rate reaching Rs5,034 after a rise of Rs110.
Analysts said the rise in global gold prices comes ahead of an anticipated interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve. However, easing trade tensions between the United States and China helped limit further gains in bullion prices.
