In his address, the Malaysian High Commissioner highlighted the historic friendship, mutual respect, and shared cultural and economic values binding the two nations.

He noted that Pakistan and Malaysia have maintained strong diplomatic ties since 1957, cooperating closely in global platforms such as the OIC and ASEAN.

The envoy emphasized the need to expand bilateral trade, expressing optimism that the current trade volume of around $2 billion could be increased to $10 billion in the coming years through deeper collaboration in energy, education, tourism, and technology.

Pakistan has also invited Malaysia’s energy corporations to reinvest in the country’s renewable and oil sectors, aiming to strengthen economic cooperation and attract foreign direct investment.

Both nations continue to explore new avenues to diversify trade, focusing on palm oil, halal products, and manufacturing partnerships to enhance regional connectivity and sustainable growth.
