ISLAMABAD; The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has announced that an emergency drill will be carried out at Islamabad International Airport tomorrow (October 30) to test the preparedness of relevant departments in line with international aviation safety standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
According to a PAA spokesperson, the exercise will simulate an aircraft crash scenario to evaluate the response efficiency of rescue, firefighting, and medical teams.
Personnel from various agencies, including fire and rescue units, ambulance services, and law enforcement authorities, will participate in the operation.
The spokesperson clarified that any visible smoke or ambulance activity observed at the airport during the exercise will be part of the planned drill, and passengers should remain calm.
