Web Des; Prominent Pakistani journalist and television anchor Farah Yousaf has publicly denied rumours circulating on social media about her alleged separation from husband and fellow anchor Iqrar Ul Hasan, calling the claims entirely unfounded.
The speculation had been spreading online for several days, prompting curiosity among fans and followers.
During an appearance on the Zawiya podcast, Farah addressed a fan’s question regarding her use of the name “Farah Yousaf” instead of “Farah Iqrar” on her social media profiles.
Explaining the reason behind her name preference, she said, “Many people know me by my father’s name, and I take immense pride in that. The name ‘Yousaf’ beside mine is a tribute to my father — and no bond is stronger or more meaningful than that of a father and daughter.”
She added that some of her older social media accounts still display her former name due to technical and verification-related reasons.
Rejecting the rumours of separation, Farah clarified, “There is no truth to such stories; people tend to create their own narratives. I value both names — ‘Farah Yousaf’ and ‘Farah Iqrar’ — as part of my identity.”
