ISLAMABAD; The Government of Pakistan has decided to completely redesign the national passport, introducing modern security features and incorporating images of iconic landmarks representing all four provinces.
According to official sources, the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has received formal approval from the Ministry of Interior to proceed with the redesign.
The printing of the newly designed passport booklets will soon begin at the Pakistan Security Printing Corporation.
The Immigration and Passports Department clarified that the new passport will now include both the father’s and the mother’s names. In addition to enhanced security measures, the visa pages will feature photographs of historically and culturally significant buildings from each province.
Officials emphasized that the updated design reflects Pakistan’s commitment to modernization and adherence to international standards.
Apart from the inclusion of these new features, no changes will be made to the passport’s fundamental structure or validity regulations.
