Web Desk; Pakistan has carried out precise and targeted strikes on hideouts of the banned Gul Bahadur group located inside Afghanistan’s border areas opposite North and South Waziristan, dealing a major blow to the foreign militants.

According to security sources, these strikes were conducted earlier today in Afghanistan’s Paktika province, including the Argun Bazaar and Bermal district areas, where multiple explosions were heard.

Initial reports indicate that more than 60 members of the Gul Bahadur group, including key leaders, were killed in these targeted strikes. Several hideouts were completely destroyed.

These operations came in response to a series of failed terror attempts by militants over the past 48 hours. Foreign militants operating from Afghanistan tried to launch multiple attacks inside Pakistan, all of which were successfully foiled by security forces through timely and effective actions.

During this period, over 100 militants were killed as a result of Pakistan’s retaliatory measures. Earlier today, the Gul Bahadur group attempted a vehicle-borne attack in North Waziristan, which was thwarted. One soldier embraced martyrdom while several others sustained injuries.

Security officials described the strikes as “highly precise,” emphasizing that they were aimed at eliminating leadership and operational bases of the banned group to curb cross-border terrorism.
