Both leaders witnessed the ceremony following their bilateral meeting and delegation-level talks.

The first memorandum of understanding (MoU) involved cooperation between Pakistan’s Foreign Service Academy and Malaysia’s Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR) to strengthen training programs for diplomats.

The documents were exchanged by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Malaysian Foreign Minister Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan.

A second MoU focused on collaboration in higher education, signed by Ishaq Dar and Malaysia’s Higher Education Minister Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.

In the tourism sector, an MoU was signed between Malaysia’s Minister of Tourism Tiong King Sing and Pakistan’s Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar to boost tourism ties between the two countries.

Another key agreement centered on Halal certification. The documents were exchanged between Malaysia’s Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for Religious Affairs, Dr Haji Mohd Na’im Bin Haji Mokhtar, and Pakistan’s Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan.

Both countries also signed an MoU to expand cooperation in combating and preventing corruption. The documents were exchanged by Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Azam Bin Baki and Deputy Chairman of Pakistan’s National Accountability Bureau Sohail Nasir.

The sixth agreement aimed to strengthen collaboration between Pakistan’s Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) and Malaysia’s Small and Medium Enterprises Corporation. CEO of SME Corporation Malaysia Rizal bin Dato’ Nainy and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi exchanged the documents.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit marks a renewed commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation across diverse sectors.
