Motorway authorities informed the court that before allowing heavy bikes on the motorways, all riders will be required to undergo proper training. Special training centers have been established in Sheikhupura and Islamabad, where riders will be registered and provided licenses.

The petitioner’s lawyer, Advocate Zainab Janjua, appeared before the court, while Assistant Attorney General Usman Ghumman and senior motorway police officials also attended the proceedings.

Advocate Janjua informed the court that a commission had already been constituted, which held two meetings in September to discuss the matter.

Justice Kayani appreciated the performance of the motorway police, calling it one of the best institutions in the country. He remarked that court directions should be issued to hold further meetings on the issue.

Commenting humorously during the proceedings, Justice Kayani asked about the petitioner’s age. When told he was 60 years old, the judge smiled and remarked, “Your client is still young,” prompting laughter in the courtroom.

The court adjourned the hearing until October 10, with directions for follow-up action.
