ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan is likely to be shifted from Adiala Jail following his latest conviction in the Toshakhana-II case, Geo News reported on Monday.

According to reports, authorities are considering moving Khan to a newly designated federal facility in Rawalpindi’s Qasim Market area, citing security and administrative reasons. While no official notification has been issued, sources told The News that both Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi could be relocated in the coming days.

The development comes amid reports that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur recently met Khan inside Adiala Jail. According to political sources, the meeting lasted nearly three hours, but no official statement was released by either side, fueling speculation about behind-the-scenes discussions.

Senior journalist Sohail Warraich also noted in The Current that preparations for Khan’s possible relocation are already underway, with officials weighing security sensitivities linked to his detention.

For now, Khan remains in Adiala Jail. However, the combination of his conviction, the government’s deliberations on shifting him, and Gandapur’s unexplained meeting has sparked renewed political debate over the PTI chief’s future.
