Security Forces Eliminate Five “Indian-Sponsored Terrorists” in Khuzdar Operation

RAWALPINDI; Security forces killed five “Indian-sponsored terrorists” during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district earlier this week, the military’s media wing, ISPR, said on Wednesday.

The operation was carried out on the night of September 14–15 after intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants linked to Fitna al-Hindustan — a label given by the state to groups allegedly backed by India to destabilize Pakistan.

According to the ISPR, troops engaged the hideout effectively, leading to an intense exchange of fire. “Five Indian-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell,” the statement said, adding that a cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was also recovered. These militants, the ISPR noted, had been involved in multiple terror activities in the region.

A sanitisation operation is ongoing to ensure no further threats remain in the area. “Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to eradicating Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country and reaffirm the nation’s resolve to bring all perpetrators to justice,” the ISPR reiterated.

The Khuzdar operation follows a series of deadly incidents in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. On Monday, five security personnel, including an officer, were martyred in an explosion in Kech district. Over the weekend, 31 militants were killed in separate operations in Lakki Marwat and Bannu. Earlier, on September 12, four terrorists were eliminated in Mastung, while on September 7, two civilians were injured in an IED blast in Khuzdar’s Naal area.

Last month, security forces foiled an infiltration attempt from Afghanistan, killing 50 terrorists in a four-day operation.

Separately, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Charsadda district, one police constable was martyred and an assistant sub-inspector critically injured on Tuesday when proclaimed offenders opened fire on a police team during a raid in the Darab Majoki area of Parang.

According to District Police Officer (DPO) Mohammad Waqas, the team had acted on intelligence that a group of outlaws from Peshawar were hiding in the locality. As officers closed in, the suspects opened fire, killing Constable Fasihuddin, the gunman of SHO Parang, on the spot, and critically injuring Motorway Police post in-charge ASI Qaiser Khan.

The attackers managed to flee after the exchange of fire. A case has been registered against four identified suspects — Shah Saud, Rokhail, Yasin, and Saddam — under terrorism and murder charges. A search operation is underway to apprehend them.
