Asim Munir Accuses India’s RAW of Global Terror Activities

MNN (Web-Desk); Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has firmly warned that any act of aggression by India will be met with a strong and fitting response from Pakistan.

Speaking to members of the Pakistani diaspora during his visit to the United States, the Field Marshal underscored that Pakistan had successfully waged a diplomatic battle against India’s discriminatory and duplicitous policies. He criticized New Delhi’s bid to project itself as a “Vishva Guru,” saying its actions prove otherwise.

Highlighting the growing global concern over India’s transnational activities, Asim Munir pointed to the involvement of India’s intelligence agency RAW in incidents such as the killing of a Sikh leader in Canada, the case of eight Indian naval officers in Qatar, and the espionage activities of Kulbhushan Jadhav. He condemned recent Indian strikes inside Pakistan, describing them as acts of unprovoked aggression carried out under false pretenses, which violated Pakistan’s sovereignty and claimed innocent civilian lives. Such provocations, he warned, have pushed the region to the brink of a dangerous conflict. He credited U.S. President Donald Trump’s strategic leadership for preventing escalation into full-scale war, not only between India and Pakistan but in other global flashpoints as well.

The COAS noted that Pakistan had responded decisively to India’s provocations, successfully averting a broader conflict, but stressed that India continues to attempt to destabilize the region.

On the Kashmir issue, he reiterated that Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir is not India’s internal matter but an unresolved international dispute, citing United Nations Security Council resolutions and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s declaration that Kashmir is Pakistan’s “jugular vein.”

Turning to Pak–U.S. ties, Munir described his second visit to Washington in less than two months as a sign of a new and constructive phase in bilateral relations, aimed at placing them on a sustainable and positive trajectory.

Addressing the situation in Palestine, the Army Chief condemned the ongoing genocide in Gaza, calling it one of the worst human tragedies with serious regional and global repercussions.

Speaking about counterterrorism, he said Pakistan remains the last stronghold against terrorism, facing threats from several Afghanistan-based groups, including Fitna-al-Khawarij. He reaffirmed that there will be no leniency for terrorists, who will face justice.

He praised the overseas Pakistani community, calling them a source of pride and dignity, whose contributions during national crises and commitment to the motherland demonstrate that they are not a “brain drain” but a “brain gain.”

Commenting on the role of social media, Munir acknowledged its power but warned that anti-national elements exploit it to create artificial unrest. He stressed the importance of understanding the evolving mindset, priorities, and relationships of the younger generation.

The COAS expressed optimism about potential major investments following a possible U.S. trade agreement and highlighted ongoing MoUs with the U.S., Saudi Arabia, UAE, and China aimed at boosting economic cooperation. With 64% of Pakistan’s population under the age of 30, he said the nation’s future rests on their energy and potential.

He concluded by urging Pakistanis to unite, move forward with renewed resolve, and honor the sacrifices of their forefathers, emphasizing that the question now is not if Pakistan will rise, but how quickly and powerfully it will do so.
