The consignment is being sent on the special instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and is the latest initiative by the Government of Pakistan to assist Palestinians facing dire conditions in Gaza.

At a send-off ceremony held at the airport, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and NDMA Chairman Lt Gen Inam Haider Malik were present as chief guests.

The event was also attended by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NDMA, representatives of Alkhidmat Foundation, and the Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan.

This consignment, managed by the NDMA under the Government’s supervision, is part of a larger 200-ton humanitarian aid operation being carried out through two chartered flights.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar announced that this delivery brings the total humanitarian assistance sent by Pakistan to Gaza to 17 consignments, totaling 1,715 tons. With another flight expected soon, this figure will increase to 1,815 tons.

“These efforts reaffirm Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people and our enduring commitment to supporting them through all possible means,” Dar said.

He also praised the NDMA’s efficient coordination and acknowledged the role of Alkhidmat Foundation and other NGOs for their relentless humanitarian work.

Dar reiterated that Pakistan will continue to stand by Palestine and expand relief efforts as the situation demands.

Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan thanked the government and people of Pakistan for their continued moral, political, and humanitarian support during this critical time, describing the aid as a lifeline for the war-affected people of Gaza.
