Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have lauded the successful intelligence-based operation by security forces in Mastung, Balochistan, which resulted in the elimination of three Fitnat-al-Hindustan terrorists.

President Zardari paid tribute to the fallen heroes — Major Ziaad Saleem Awwal and Sepoy Nazim Hussain — who embraced martyrdom while bravely confronting the terrorists.

“These brave sons of the soil laid down their lives for the defense of the motherland and set a new example of courage,” the President said. He expressed deep condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the elevation of their ranks in the hereafter.

The President reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to continue counterterrorism operations until the complete eradication of India-sponsored terrorism. “The sacrifices of our security forces will not go in vain. The nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces in the fight against terrorism,” he emphasized.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also commended the security forces for their valiant action against the terrorists. He praised the courage and resolve demonstrated during the successful operation, particularly acknowledging the ultimate sacrifices of Major Ziaad Saleem Awwal and Sepoy Nazim Hussain.

“The martyrs stood like a wall against the terrorists without fearing for their lives,” the Prime Minister said, while offering condolences to their bereaved families and praying for the departed souls.
