QUETTA; The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Quetta has extended the physical remand of Sardar Sherbaz Attakzai for 10 more days in connection with the high-profile double murder case involving a man and a woman whose brutal killings recently shocked Balochistan.

The tragic incident, which took place earlier this month in Quetta, gained widespread attention after a disturbing video of the crime surfaced online, prompting public outrage and swift action by law enforcement. The police had launched a thorough investigation, arresting multiple suspects, with Sardar Sherbaz Attakzai named as one of the prime accused in the case.

On Wednesday, police produced Attakzai before Judge of ATC Quetta No. 1, seeking an extension in his physical remand to carry out further interrogation and evidence collection. Granting the police request, the court approved a 10-day extension and handed over the accused to the Serious Crime Investigation Wing for continued investigation.

The case remains under active probe, with authorities pledging to ensure justice is served. Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has also taken notice of the incident, promising that all those involved in the heinous act will be brought to justice.
