Pakistan Crushes India to Reach Final of Asian U-16 Volleyball Championship

Bangkok; In a commanding performance, Pakistan defeated arch-rivals India in straight sets to secure a place in the final of the Asian Under-16 Volleyball Championship. With this victory, Pakistan maintained its unbeaten streak in the tournament and will now face Iran in the final showdown.

The semi-final clash, held in Thailand, saw Pakistan dominate India throughout the match. The Pakistani team displayed remarkable control and precision, winning the sets with scores of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-12.

Pakistan will take on Iran in the final scheduled for tomorrow. Notably, Pakistan had already defeated Iran earlier in the crossover round of the competition. With their flawless record so far, the national team heads into the final with strong momentum and high confidence.

President Asif Ali Zardari has extended heartfelt congratulations to Pakistan’s Under-16 national volleyball team for their remarkable victory against India in the semifinal of the Asian Championship.

The President lauded the team’s outstanding performance, calling it a proud moment for the nation and a testament to the players’ exceptional skill, discipline, and national spirit.

In his congratulatory message, President Zardari said the young athletes had elevated the country’s pride through their extraordinary dedication and teamwork. He emphasized that the triumph reflects the commitment not only of the players but also of the coaches and supporting staff whose efforts played a crucial role in the team’s success.

Expressing hope for continued excellence, the President expressed confidence that the national team would carry the same passion into the final match and emerge as champions of the tournament.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the Pakistan under-16 volleyball team on qualifying for the final of the Asian Under-16 Volleyball Championship after an impressive victory over arch-rival India in the semi-final.

In his message, the Prime Minister expressed immense happiness over the team’s undefeated journey throughout the tournament and lauded their remarkable performance in the semi-final.

He described Pakistan’s triumph over India as a significant and morale-boosting achievement, noting that the entire nation is proud of its young athletes.

The Prime Minister also offered prayers for the team’s success in the final, expressing hope that they would continue their winning streak and bring the championship title home.
