The Google team presented an overview of its regional developer ecosystem, spotlighting the role of Google Developer Groups (GDGs), grassroots AI initiatives, and platforms such as Taleemabad in empowering local talent. The discussion emphasized the importance of expanding AI adoption and innovation through community involvement across Pakistan.

A highlight of the meeting was an interactive session with N+1, a group of young Pakistani developers recently recognized among the global top 10 in the Google Solution Challenge. Having represented Pakistan at the regional showcase in the Philippines, the team was lauded by the Minister for their achievement. She described their success as a reflection of Pakistan’s growing talent pool and underscored the value of structured support and mentorship in nurturing such excellence.

On the policy front, Minister Shaza Fatima outlined the government’s commitment to AI training across three key sectors: mainstream education from kindergarten to university, workforce development including freelancers, and industrial innovation. She advocated for inclusive access to AI learning tools such as the AI Seekho program, sandbox environments, and cloud credits.

Concluding the meeting, the Minister called for deeper collaboration between Google and the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication (MoITT), aiming to integrate Pakistan more effectively into the global AI ecosystem while promoting equitable digital empowerment for all segments of society.
