Share on FacebookShare on TwitterSend on Whatsapp

KARACHI; The mysterious death of actress Humaira Asghar Ali has taken a new turn, as a citizen has moved the Sessions Court in Karachi seeking legal action, alleging her demise was a murder rather than a natural death.

Citizen has approached the Sessions Court in Karachi, seeking the registration of a case over the mysterious death of actress Humaira Asghar Ali, whose body was recovered from her residence.

According to media reports, a separate complaint has also been lodged through the Prime Minister’s portal, labeling the incident as murder.

In the petition filed before the court, the petitioner argued that Humaira Asghar’s death was not natural but the result of foul play. The court has now directed the respondents to submit their report by July 16.

The petitioner highlighted that even the police have termed the incident deeply concerning. Citing video footage that allegedly suggests Humaira was murdered, and pointing to strained relationships between the actress and her family members, the petitioner argued these factors make the case highly suspicious. Consequently, the court has been requested to involve the family members in the investigation, while also naming SSP South and SHO Gizri as respondents.

Separately, Dr. Syeda Kainat, a Karachi resident, filed a complaint through the PM portal, calling Humaira’s death an organized conspiracy and murder. The complaint alleged that Humaira had been under pressure due to her associations with influential individuals and was forced to consume alcohol and drugs.

It further noted that over eight months have passed since Humaira’s death, and details about her contacts with close acquaintances have not been shared.

Meanwhile, the police have maintained that there is currently no concrete evidence or clear identification supporting the allegations. However, in response to the complaints, the Inspector General of Sindh Police has instructed that the application be made part of the official record and ordered an investigation into the matter.

This latest move seeks to bring clarity and accountability in a case that continues to raise troubling questions.

Humaira Arshad’s body was decomposed and everyone who knew her is horrified at how a lively girl just left this world without any trace. The actress’s family initially refused to claim her body but now her brother has come to Karachi to take her last remains for burial. He also spoke to the media about what went down.

Humaira Asghar’s brother Naveed Asghar revealed that the news about not receiving his sister’s body was false. It was miscommunicated to the media. Ramzan Chhipa also shared that Naveed was in contact with Chhipa Foundation for three days before he came.

His parents are very disturbed right now and that is why the words were miscommunicated. He added that there were problems regarding her routine with her parents and that is why they stopped talking. He shared that he tried to communicate with her 6 months ago but she was unavailable. He is also sceptical about his sister’s death and wants further investigation.
