Break the Law, Face the Music: KP Governor’s Stern Warning to PTI Chief’s Kids
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterSend on Whatsapp

ISLAMABAD (Web-Desk); Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has made it clear that the children of PTI founder Imran Khan are not above the law and will face legal consequences if they violate it, just like any ordinary citizen.

Speaking to Geo News, Governor Kundi remarked on recent PTI protests, terming them ineffective. He said that while peaceful demonstrations are the right of everyone, including Imran Khan’s sons — Sulaiman and Kasim — any breach of the law would invite legal action. “The PTI founder’s children are not untouchable,” he asserted.

Addressing the matter of their dual nationality, the governor noted that if Imran’s sons do not possess Pakistani citizenship, the issue might fall under the jurisdiction of the British High Commission. Still, he stressed, “No one is exempt from Pakistani law. Just as British law applies to Pakistanis living in the UK, Pakistani law applies to British citizens present here.”

Kundi also criticised the PTI-led provincial government, accusing it of targeting Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) workers during political activities. He warned that PTI would ultimately have to bear the consequences of its own conduct, stating, “PTI will reap what it sows.”

Reiterating the principle of equality before the law, the governor said that anyone breaking the law — regardless of nationality or status — would be dealt with strictly.

His comments come as PTI leadership announced plans for Imran Khan’s sons to join the party’s campaign against the former prime minister’s imprisonment at Adiala Jail. Imran, 71, has been incarcerated since August 2023 on multiple charges, including corruption and terrorism, following his removal through a no-confidence vote in April 2022.

Meanwhile, the ruling PML-N coalition has also warned of legal action against Sulaiman and Kasim if they violate the law during PTI’s protests.
