Rawalpindi: The Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Alisher Taktayev, met today with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Defence Production, Muhammad Reza Hayat Hiraj, at his office in Rawalpindi.
Welcoming the distinguished guest, the Federal Minister said Pakistan highly values its friendly relations with Uzbekistan.
The Ambassador thanked the Minister for his time and reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s commitment to continue cooperation with the Government of Pakistan, especially in the field of defence industry.
Both sides underscored the need to explore opportunities for joint ventures in the defence sector. On this occasion, the two countries agreed to develop a roadmap for defence industrial cooperation, which will be signed during the meeting of the Joint Working Group scheduled to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in August 2025.
