Chitral-a Triumphs over Gilgit-Baltistan in thrilling Shandur Polo Festival final

Chitral-a secured a victory in the historic and culturally significant Shandur polo festival at shandur, the world’s highest polo ground, situated at an altitude of 12,000 feet.

Chitral-a beat gilgit-baltistan by 9 goals to 7 in a thrilling final match.

Corps commander peshawar, lieutenant general umer ahmed bokhari, graced the occasion as the chief guest and awarded the trophy and medals to the winning team in an impressive prize distribution ceremony.

As per tradition, the Ssg shahbaz team of the Pakistan army demonstrated free fall jumps. Army school of physical training, kakul also performed a beautiful paragliding demonstration.

The final day of the three-day shandur festival began with the national anthem, followed by stirring performances from the bands of frontier corps and Gilgit-Baltistan, playing patriotic tunes.

Adding to the cultural vibrancy, traditional dances from Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan were also performed, showcasing the rich heritage of the region.

A large number of tourists from across the country and abroad attended the festival.
