Web Desk; The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has officially announced the winners of the 10th anniversary contest “Kazakhstan Through the Eyes of Foreign Media.” This prestigious international competition recognizes foreign experts, journalists, writers, and media professionals who provide credible and creative coverage of Kazakhstan to global audiences.
Renowned Pakistani author, foreign affairs expert, and bilingual poet Mr. Muhammad Ali Pasha has won first place in the category of Digitalization for his work titled “Role of Astana Hub and Digital Transformation of Kazakhstan.” In his submission, he highlighted Kazakhstan’s remarkable progress in digital transformation and emphasized the pivotal role of Astana Hub as a driving force in fostering innovation and technological advancement.
Pasha is also a senior software analyst at an IT company and holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, with a specialization in Software Engineering, from COMSATS Islamabad.
The jury selected winners across five thematic categories:
- Digitalization – Muhammad Ali Pasha (Pakistan), “Role of Astana Hub and Digital Transformation of Kazakhstan”
- Economy – Derya Soysal (Belgium), “Kazakhstan’s Rise as a Global Crypto Hub”
- Culture, History, and Traditions – Akpanbetova Arukhan (Uzbekistan), “Abay’s Legacy”
- Sports – Matt Fitzgerald (USA), “Kazakhstan’s Journey into the World of Tennis: How a Nation Designed Its Growth in a Global Game”
- Tourism – Marina Mkrtchyan (Armenia), “Burabay National Park – Contemplating Beauty in Harmony with Oneself”
This year’s contest attracted more than 100 entries from over 30 countries, with participants representing a wide range of international media outlets, online platforms, blogs, podcasts, and traditional broadcast media. Submissions covered diverse themes, including history, culture, education, tourism, cuisine, investment opportunities, and Kazakhstan’s role in global affairs.
Launched in 2014, “Kazakhstan Through the Eyes of Foreign Media” has become a key platform for strengthening Kazakhstan’s image abroad, recognizing international voices that contribute to a deeper and more accurate understanding of the country’s achievements, traditions, and future aspirations.
