ISLAMABAD; Applications have officially opened for the UK Government’s Chevening Scholarships, offering fully funded one-year master’s degrees in the United Kingdom to outstanding individuals from Pakistan.

The scholarships are open from 5 August to 7 October 2025 and target mid-career professionals with at least two years of work experience after graduation. The programme seeks applicants who demonstrate strong leadership potential, the ability to influence others, and a commitment to bringing positive change to their communities and country.

Chevening covers all major costs, including tuition fees, return flights to the UK, visa expenses, and a monthly stipend for accommodation and living costs. During their time in the UK, selected scholars will gain academic and professional experience, build global networks, immerse themselves in British culture, and develop the confidence to lead in their respective fields.

British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott CMG OBE, encouraged eligible Pakistanis to apply, saying:

“Chevening is a launchpad for Pakistan’s exceptional future leaders. It offers more than just a world-class education. It provides the space to grow, the networks to connect globally, and the confidence to lead with purpose. If you have the leadership potential and the ambition to make a difference, I strongly encourage you to apply.”

Since its launch in 1983, Chevening has built a global network of over 60,000 alumni from more than 160 countries. In Pakistan alone, more than 2,000 individuals have benefited from the scholarship, many of whom have gone on to become influential figures in various sectors.

Interested candidates can apply through the official website: chevening.org/apply.
