Rawalpindi: Tajikistan’s Chief of General Staff and Deputy Defence Minister, Major General Saidzoda Bobojon Abdulkodir, met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
The meeting focused on the evolving regional security situation and shared strategic interests, underscoring the importance of strengthening bilateral military cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), both military leaders emphasized the deep-rooted brotherly relations between the two nations and explored avenues for enhanced defence collaboration. The Tajik dignitary praised the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces and paid tribute to their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
Upon his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, Major General Abdulkodir was presented with a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out contingent representing all three services of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
