ISLAMABAD; Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a high-level meeting today with the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Abu Qasim Haftar, at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad.
The meeting, attended by senior Pakistani government officials, focused on strengthening cooperation between Pakistan and Libya across various sectors.
Welcoming the Libyan military chief and his delegation, Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing bilateral ties. Both sides engaged in discussions aimed at exploring opportunities for collaboration in defense and other mutually beneficial areas.
Lieutenant General Haftar expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him and his delegation during their visit to Pakistan.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif, Federal Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain, Advisor to the Prime Minister Dr. Tauqir Shah, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, and other senior officials.
