Peshawar: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former federal minister Azam Swati on July 17 for investigation into the alleged illegal withdrawal of Rs. 36 billion from the national treasury.
According to NAB KP, the inquiry pertains to the alleged misuse of government funds in District Kohistan. NAB stated that the documents submitted by Azam Swati so far are insufficient.
He has been directed to appear at NAB’s Peshawar office, Phase 5, where a comprehensive investigation into the alleged embezzlement is underway. NAB has warned that strict action may be taken in case of non-compliance.
In a separate development, NAB has also initiated an inquiry against MPA Dr. Amjad Ali over accusations of possessing assets beyond known sources of income.

NAB has requested complete details of his assets and income tax returns from 2013 to the present.
Dr. Amjad Ali has been instructed to submit the required documents to the NAB office in Hayatabad by July 17, 2025.
