SUKKUR; The water level in the Indus River is steadily rising, with a medium-level flood currently reported at the Guddu Barrage. According to the Irrigation Department, the latest data shows an inflow of 355,283 cusecs and an outflow of 315,558 cusecs at the barrage.
Officials warn that the situation may worsen as fresh monsoon rains continue to swell the river’s catchment areas, leading to further increases in water levels in the coming days.
The district administration has issued advisories, urging residents—particularly those living along the riverbanks and low-lying areas—to stay alert and make necessary arrangements to safeguard lives and property.
